I am really torn. I know some of you will think this is a silly thing to be concerned about, but I am a sophomore in high school. I am about to order my high school class ring. I am so undecided about which stone I should get in my ring. Most people get their birthstone, but I have been thinking about getting a birthstone that matches my school colors. Some might wonder why, but I think it will represent my high school years better than my birthstone will.
I know that I will reach a lot of milestones in high school and some of them will be tied to my birthday. For instance, my sweet sixteen birthday, getting my driver’s license, and turning eighteen years old will all happen in my birth month while I am in high school. But in all of my sports pictures (I play volleyball, softball and I am a cheerleader) I will be wearing my sports uniforms which are in my school colors. I know many people won’t notice my ring in these pictures, but I will, especially in my senior pictures.
My school colors are purple and silver, but my birthday is in March so my birthstone is aquamarine. In case you don’t know, it is a bluish-green color. I have other jewelry with my birthstone, but this might be the only piece of jewelry I will ever have with my schools color on it. I guess I will have to decide this soon.
I applied cocoa butter to my belly every day of my pregnancy and it worked at preventing stretch marks from developing on my stomach. The one thing I didn’t anticipate before or during my pregnancy was how much the skin of my breasts were also going to be stretched. I was one of those women whose breasts grew enormously during pregnancy. Before I was pregnant I was an A cup. When I went into labor, I was a C cup, borderline D cup. Once my milk came in I was a full D cup.
I wish I had used the cocoa butter on my breasts too. The skin was so tight after I gave birth that it was actually very painful to have anyone even touch my breasts. I breastfed for about eight month and as soon as I stopped breast feeding, my breast size went back down very quickly. After they returned to normal size, I was shocked at their appearance. Not only was the skin stretched out, but my breasts had a lot of stretch marks on them.
I have begun to use stretch mark removal cream on them. I don’t know if it will help. I hope so. I am not that worried about them yet. I plan to have a couple more children so I am afraid that even if I get rid of them they may come back. I know that during my next pregnancy, I am going to use cocoa butter on both my belly and my breasts everyday to keep the stretch marks away or keep new ones from developing.
It’s not always easy for men to know if they should wear jewellery at more formal occasions, or how many mens rings is too many. There’s no question in my mind that a mens ring or two can really lift an outfit, and also make a man look more confident, sexy, and fashion-forward. The problem you can run in to is when you start wearing three or four rings on each hand!
If in doubt, then less is more. If you already wear a wedding ring, then try wearing one or two rings on your opposing hand. Another tip is that if you want to wear a larger more ostentatious ring, then make that your only ring. If you want to wear a couple of rings on one hand, make sure that they’re a little more subtle.
Nothing says raceday fashion more than fascinators and formal dresses, but mismatching your fascinator and evening dress can be a a big raceday fopar, and one you may well look back on with much regret! One of the problems that ladies often run into is trying to be too clever with their fascinator design, and failing to keep it simple. Less is more when it comes to fascinators, and it is a rare sight indeed when someone manages to get away with something a little more ostentatious.
So where does one start? Well, it does depend a bit on what you are wearing. If you have chosen a bright red maxi dress for example, you can either match it with a similar red fascinator, or tone it down a little with a more muted red like a dark magenta instead. It’s also important to ensure that whatever fascinator you choose matches the right level of formality. As in the previous example, if you are going more casual an choosing something from your maxi dresses collection, then it’s best to go with a much simpler fascinator, but if you are wearing a formal or evening dress, then you need to wear something more appropriate.
